Question bank

A preview of the questions they actually ask.

Two free samples so you can hear the voice. The full bank lives in the paid role packs — $19 one role, $39 all three.

Samples are honest patterns from store work — not case studies, not fake percentages, not “we cut shrink 18%.” If a number wasn’t yours, don’t say it.

How do you set a shift up so it doesn’t fall apart at 2 p.m.?

Sample answer

I name roles before the door gets busy — who greets, who owns POS, who can leave the floor for a break. I do a two-minute huddle: one gap, one product, one “if it gets ugly.” Then I walk. If coverage is thin I stand the weak zone myself instead of starting a project in the back. A shift falls apart when nobody is clearly in charge of the next hour.

Your story to swap in: Describe your last understaffed peak. Who did you put where?
Tell me about a time you had to make an unpopular call on the floor.

Sample answer

I sent someone home who wanted the hours because we were over and the floor didn’t need them. I explained it as the store, not as a punishment. I also stayed myself. Unpopular calls land better when you don’t hide in the office after. I followed up the next day so it didn’t turn into a rumor.

Your story to swap in: Pick a call people didn’t like: cutting a shift, moving a break, pulling someone off their favorite zone.
